The CWM7.4 comprises of a 6-inch bass/midrange driver cone, which has been specially set within a die-cast chassis, allowing a controlled and fast bass response. This driver works in unison with a high quality, 1-inch Nautilus tube-loaded soft dome tweeter. These highly refined components sit within a critically constructed baffle, built from glass-reinforced ABS. The tweeter features a scallop beneath the tweeter, which Bowers says allows for the ultimate high-frequency roll-off, resulting in a far more accurate soundstage and a crisp, clean high-end.
The midrange/bass drive is constructed from a high-quality blue Kevlar, allowing it to move vast amounts of air at once while retaining a quick and responsive performance. This brilliant driver talks to the tweeter flawlessly, thanks to Mundorf componentry found within the crossover. To further enhance bass, Bowers & Wilkins signature flow-port bass reflect porn has been used with this model.
