Topping comes back with the compact DAC E30 II, a real evolution of the excellent E30, presenting many technical improvements allowing to reach even better sound performances. Dual AKM AK4493S DAC
The main improvement of the E30 II is its digital/analog conversion stage. It now uses two AKM AK4493S DAC chips connected in parallel, each dedicated to a channel, thus offering much better performance. These chips are themselves improvements of the AK4493 chip. They also benefit from the proprietary Velvet Sound technology and ensure a sound reproduction that is both precise and rich in detail.

XMOS XU208 USB Interface
The USB-B input of the E30 II allows a simple and powerful use of the DAC. It is associated with an XMOS XU208 interface and a particularly stable and reliable Thesycon custom driver. Moreover, this input ensures an extremely low jitter level. The combination of this interface with the AK4493S DACs also allows the E30 II to support high resolution audio streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.

Simple and efficient connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the E30 II does not overdo it but offers a complete range of connectivity, allowing it to be integrated without difficulty into the vast majority of audio systems. The input is USB-B, Toslink optical and coaxial. The output is simply in stereo RCA.

5V Power supply
Practical, the E30 II is powered by 5VDC. It can be used almost anywhere and can be connected to a computer, a phone charger or a powerbank. The integrated protection circuitry protects the E30 II and will display an error message in case of a bad power supply.

Discrete LNRD circuit
In order to solve the noise problem that can be caused by the 5V power supply, the E30 II includes a discrete LNRD (Low Noise Reference Driver) circuit. It filters the noise from the 5V power supply to provide an ultra-low noise and stable electrical signal to the audio circuits. Thus, the background noise of the E30 II is less than 1.5µV.
